Services
30 years after the City of Sydney was incorporated, in 1872, Caleb Soul relocated his rapidly expanding business from 177 Pitt Street to 158-160 Pitt Street. Unfortunately 14 years later, in 1886, the building burnt down. Within a year the Phoenix Building rose again and Washington H Soul Pattinson & Co continued to trade at 160 Pitt Street.
PCG delivered workplace and project management services for Soul Pattinson, creating a contemporary workplace environment that reflected the organisation's heritage, culture and future ambitions. The project focused on improving functionality, collaboration and workplace performance while supporting long-term business objectives.
PCG was engaged to modernise the heritage building and workplace environment while restoring and preserving architectural elements of heritage significance within the original building.
The works included a new glass courtyard structure, lift installation, major services upgrades and restoration of significant heritage architectural features throughout the building.

The restored workplace combined modern workplace functionality with careful preservation of the building’s historic architectural character.
