PCG acted as project manager and interior architect for Pfizer's South Korea’s building and workplace refurbishment, delivering a high-quality corporate environment that improved workplace functionality and employee experience. The project balanced global brand standards with local operational requirements while supporting business performance and organisational change.
PCG was engaged by Pfizer Korea as the owner's representative to manage the refurbishment and upgrade of its 15,000sqm, 19-storey owner occupied headquarters in Seoul. The project required coordination of design and construction activities, management of local consultants, and delivery of a complete building transformation while ensuring compliance with Pfizer's global standards and local requirements. The scope included stripping and replacing building facade,, upgrading core building services, refurbishing interiors, and enhancing external landscaping and rooftop amenities.
Working closely with Pfizer Korea and Pfizer Global Engineering in New York, PCG developed a comprehensive master plan that aligned the workplace with both global corporate standards and local operational needs. The project incorporated contemporary workplace concepts, change management initiatives, and significant infrastructure upgrades, including new mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security and access control systems. The fitout delivered modern office accommodation, meeting and training facilities, upgraded communal spaces, and hospitality amenities capable of supporting approximately 390 staff.
The completed headquarters delivered a high-performance workplace that exceeded Pfizer Korea's expectations for both functionality and aesthetics. The refurbishment successfully aligned the facility with Pfizer's global workplace standards while creating a modern environment that supports collaboration, productivity and future business growth. According to Pfizer Korea's Country Manager, the new workplace became an integral part of achieving the organisation's vision and business objectives, with the project positively exceeding all performance and design expectations.
